  I know this place is modeled as a kind of innovative liquor store that appeals to the more sophisticated wine drinkers in New Paltz, but it's really just a veneer. Hiding behind the faux kitchen in the back that occasionally offers tastings mixed with non local food is a business that doesn't have much to offer the consumer beyond a typical, limited selection liquor store. The most amazing thing about this store is that the Hudson Valley is seeing a resurgence in craft bourbon, rye whiskey, and local craft whiskeys. It is one of the most popular alcohol trends in the nation, and people are traveling to our area to experience the tastes. But. despite this teh Fox and the Hound's selection is so limited in whiskey's that unless you are willing to spend $60 bucks on a 'chance' bottle you wont be walking out with anything exciting (think Jim Beam as your best U.S. option, Jameson your best affordable Irish). Today was the last day I will be going into this store for it has nothing on In Good Taste which is only a few blocks down the road.
